How We Give Back Locally & Abroad
Several times a year, various members of the Meadowbrook Dental Care staff travel abroad on medical mission trips to give the gift of dentistry to children and adults who need it the most. This is Meadowbrook Dental Care’s way of using its dental health expertise to give back to the world. Meadowbrook Dental Care is a dentist’s office that is passionate about providing quality dental care to every patient that they care for, as well as the world abroad. Having members of their teamwork in underserved parts of the globe is a wonderful way to encourage them to keep providing the sincere care on which Meadowbrook Dental Care prides itself and showcase our dedication to dental health.
Medical Mission Trips in Peru
In June 2015, dental assistant Milena Zevallos traveled to Cañete, Peru, with Medical Wings International, a global charity that organizes medical mission trips to provide quality healthcare in underserved parts of the world. Originally from Peru, Milena cites her understanding of the needs of the poor in her birth country as her inspiration for taking the time to use her dental care skills to visit.
Dominican Republic Dental Care Trip
Meadowbrook dental hygienist Karina Pham took a trip to the Dominican Republic, also with Medical Wings International. She saw it as the perfect opportunity to serve and give back to the country in which she was born. By assisting with dental care procedures and providing patient education, Karina was able to provide high-quality dental care and hygiene education in a country that is otherwise too poverty-stricken to obtain it.
Dental Mission Trip to El Salvador
Recently, Leyla, a dental assistant here at Meadowbrook Dental Care, took a trip to El Salvador with Medical Wings International. She described how fulfilling it was to accommodate a single mother and her three children who walked a whopping three hours just to receive the treatment provided by the medical missions. This showcases both the need for dental care from underserved individuals in the world, as well as our dedication to providing that care. Check out this video below to see her story.

Meadowbrook Dental Care looks forward to continuing the tradition of medical mission trips as the years go by. Giving back to the less fortunate is a great way to keep us humble and grounded in doing what we love.
